Cooper Seeman, CPA, CA

Managing Director

Cooper Seeman joined Regimen Partners in 2013. Previously, he was the Managing Director of Abacus Private Equity from 2005 to 2011, which completed over fifty highly structured transactions involving in excess of $2.2 billion in assets.  From 1997 to 2004 he was the VP Finance at Highgate Holdings, a hospitality and real estate family office, which became the largest independent owner/operator of hotels in Manhattan. He led over $250 million in transactions and was a key team member on an additional $900 million of projects. 

Cooper obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1994 while at KPMG in Vancouver, and his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia in 1991. 

His primary role is securing financing from investors, investor relations, overseeing financial reporting, tax and legal matters, and assisting with transaction execution. Cooper is a member of the firm's Investment Committee.


Gerry Bellerive, CPA, CA

Managing Director

Gerry Bellerive joined Regimen Partners in December 2014. Prior to joining Regimen, Gerry was a partner and one of three founding members at Capital West Partners, Vancouver’s leading mid-market M&A firm, which was established in 1990 to focus on Western Canadian enterprises. His corporate finance experience for both public and private companies spans a wide variety of industries including commercial and industrial services and distribution, manufacturing, financial services, oil & gas, retail and technology. Completed mandates include sell- and buy-side engagements, raising capital for buyouts and business expansion and IPO advisory.  Over the past 10 years Gerry led over twenty M&A transactions totaling approximately $750 million.     

He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia in 1984, and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Vancouver in 1986.

Gerry leads the firm's investment activities and is a member of the Investment Committee.


Paul Shaw, CPA, CA, CBV

Vice President, Private Equity

Paul Shaw joined Regimen Partners in 2013. Prior to joining, he was an Associate at Sequeria Partners Inc. from 2011 until 2013, a boutique mid-market investment banking firm focusing on oilfield service companies. He was a key member in nearly $300 Million of transactions. 

He obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2009, Chartered Business Valuator designation in 2012, and earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 2007. 

Paul's primary role includes sourcing new business opportunities and executing transactions within Alberta and Saskatchewan.


David Koa, MBA

Vice President, Strategic Development

David joined Regimen Partners in 2016. As a senior executive of medium-sized businesses in the financial services, telecommunications and manufacturing sectors David has contributed to increasing shareholder value by over $500 million. 

David worked with the private equity firms of Lynx Equity Inc. as President of Baker Shoe Company from 2011 to 2016, and Granite Partners as Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Sales of Granite Global Solutions from 2008 to 2010. Previously, he launched and successfully grew several ventures in
e-commerce and insurance. Early in his career he was a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting and Coopers & Lybrand Management Consultants.

David graduated with an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, Western University in 1991, and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in 1986. 

David’s primary role is working with the leaders of Regimen’s investee companies to develop and execute strategies for sustainable long-term growth. 


Hai Tran-Viet, CFA

Vice President, Private Equity

Hai Tran-Viet joined Regimen Partners in 2016. Previously, he was a Partner at Signal Hill Equity Partners, an operationally focused, mid-market private equity fund based in Canada, and prior to that he was a Vice President at TD Capital, the merchant banking division of TD Bank Financial Group. Hai began his career in the investment banking division of CIBC World Markets. He has also held several interim operational roles within portfolio companies.

Hai graduated with a Master in Business and Administration from Columbia Business School in 2010, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in 2000. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Hai’s primary role is sourcing new business opportunities and executing transactions within the Ontario, Quebec, and Maritime regions.
